An alarming sign for the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) as their main keeper-batter and in-form batter, Angkrish Raghuvanshi, has not come out to bat in the second innings.
KKR needs 148 runs to win the match over the Mumbai Indians (MI) at the Eden Gardens. But they will have to do the chase without Angkrish Raghuvanshi. In place of the batter, Ramandeep Singh joins the batting line-up as the concussion sub for Raghuvanshi.
Angkrish Raghuvanshi injured himself in the first innings of the KKR vs MI match
"Ramandeep Singh has replaced Angkrish Raghuvanshi as a concussion substitute," KKR officially informed through a social media post. It can be a huge takeaway from the match, as the emerging batter is in exceptional form for the Kolkata Knight Riders in the ongoing Indian Premier League 2026 (IPL 2026) season.
Angkrish Raghuvanshi was forced to leave the field after reportedly suffering a finger injury, which he received in the first innings when KKR was the fielding side. Tejasvi Singh Dahiya walked into the field as the substitute wicket-keeper for the Kolkata Knight Riders. Raghuvanshi had to receive some treatment on the ground because of the injury. However, it was not clear when he suffered the injury.
