Police on the Chicago area’s North Shore are investigating the death of a 21-year-old, who was found with multiple gunshot wounds early Tuesday morning.
Skokie authorities said they responded to a call of a person shot just after 6 a.m. in the area of LaCrosse Avenue and Grove Street.
Police said they discovered a 21-year-old man with multiple gunshot wounds and emergency responders began first aid. The man was taken by the Skokie Fire Department to a local hospital for treatment but “did not survive the injuries.”
“A preliminary investigation into the circumstances of this incident indicates there is no known threat to the public. The investigation is active, and additional details will be provided as the Investigation allows,” the department said in a release.
The North Regional Violent Crimes Task Force (NORTAF) was activated as part of the investigation, police said,
