"Because it just like cuts to the core of [what] I think the most important thing in my life is being a kind person and that legacy of kindness." Moore said she doesn't like conflict, but preferred to have that discussion face-to-face. She also said French's essay fell into the trope that women can't get along.
Duff, her husband Matthew Koma, and Meghan Trainor publicly responded to the accusations in the essay. French later hung out with Duff's sister, Haylie, after the situation. The Lizzie McGuire star said she has a "complicated" relationship with her sister.
