Reschio is like many other luxury resorts in Italy: it has a pool, a spa, and elegantly decorated bedrooms with plush four-poster beds. Except, Reschio is not really like any other luxury resort in Italy at all. The pool is a glassy, oval-shaped mirage in the middle of a clearing of umbrella pine trees, and lays serious claim to being one of the most picturesque hotel swimming spots in the world. The spa isn’t actually a spa, but a bathhouse: a subterranean network of pools and thermal rooms and bathtubs lit by flickering candlelight and roaring fireplaces. And those four-poster beds? They’re custom-designed by the hotel’s owner, Count Benedikt Bolza, and draped in cooling Italian cotton percale, cross-stitch embroidered with the hotel’s emblem.

So it stands to reason that, when the Bolza family decided to launch a new lifestyle brand this spring, it wasn’t exactly a lifestyle brand, either. Making things is in their DNA: Benedikt, an architect, oversaw every detail of the painstaking restoration of the 1,000-year-old castle that houses the hotel before it opened in 2021, all the way down to designing nearly every piece of furniture across the property. His wife, Nencia, painted the breathtaking Renaissance-inspired frescoes in the chapel, which weave together botanical illustrations and the Bolza family history. And now, the next generation—specifically, three of the couple’s daughters, Giorgiana, Nerina, and Vita—are leading the charge on Reschio Collections.
