Meghan Markle is celebrating her eighth anniversary with the world by dropping a series of rare royal wedding photos with Prince Harry.
In the early hours of May 19, Meghan posted a slideshow of images from the couple's reception. These intimate images show the Duke and Duchess of Sussex on the dance floor, letting loose with family and friends after hours of royal duties.
In total there are a dozen images. Some are shot in black and white while others are in color.
The couple appeared to be soaking in every moment of their wedding celebration at St. George’s Chapel in Windsor Castle. The photos appear to be from the couple's first dance, as there is no one else on the floor with them. Meghan revealed in the Netflix series Harry & Meghan that the couple grooved to Pickett's "Land of 1000 Dances."
"I just really wanted the music to be fun. Even our first dance," Meghan admitted. "Just spinning like a whirlwind. It was so great."
Comments were notably absent from the post, as Meghan keeps replies disabled. The former senior royal has maintained the setting since returning to Instagram in January 2025.

The couple's royal wedding reception was held after a formal wedding luncheon hosted by Queen Elizabeth. All of the 600 wedding guests were invited to St. George's Hall at Windsor Castle.
Hours later, the couple, family, and their closest friends enjoyed a less formal wedding reception. This event is where Meghan's slideshow of pictures was shot.
According to PEOPLE Magazine, the evening reception was hosted by King Charles at Frogmore House. For the celebration, Meghan Markle changed into a sleek white halter gown by Stella McCartney and accessorized with an aquamarine cocktail ring that once belonged to Princess Diana.
At the event, actor Idris Elba was the DJ, George Clooney served up drinks behind the bar, and Serena Williamsplayed beer pong. Other celebrity invitees included Oprah Winfrey, Elton John, James Corden, and Victoria and David Beckham.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle left their roles as senior royals in March 2020. They currently live in California with their two children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet.
