’70s Rock Legend’s Ice Cream Outing in Boston Has Fans Obsessed

Legendary Aerosmith frontman Steven Tyler doesn't live in Boston anymore, but when he's in town, he's just one of the locals. Recently, the 78-year-old rock singer proved just that when he was spotted enjoying some ice cream. There was no entourage, no fuss... just Tyler and his dessert.

Bella’s Creamery, the ice cream shop he visited, shared a photo of the "Cryin'" singer on their Facebook page. The rock singer wore his hair piled up in a messy bun made up of grey, brown, red, and green streaks. He wore big sunglasses and a scruffy mustache and goatee, donning an open checkered sweater with a white T-shirt underneath. He adorned himself with several chains around his neck.

Tyler was all smiles in a selfie with one of the shop employees, while holding his Dave's Coffee ice cream in a waffle cone with a gloved hand. Perhaps the smile was his seal of approval as he'd already given it a lick.

Aerosmith fans couldn't stop gushing about the Tyler sighting, which is apparently a pretty normal thing in the area, with many praising how laidback he is with the locals.

"Growing up in Humarock we had regular sightings of Steven Tyler. One time he was skateboarding with some kids," one fan wrote on Facebook.

"So cool!!! Love Steven Tyler," another wrote before adding a red heart emoji.

A third shared, "How cool! I am never in the right place at the right time. I love Steven."

"Excellent. What an endorsement," another gushed.

While Tyler maintains several homes, with his primary residence in Los Angeles, he still spends a lot of time in Boston, the birthplace of Aerosmith. He's clearly very comfortable there, too, as many locals commented on the ice cream photo with stories of seeing him around town as he visited other local businesses, including other ice cream parlors, as he's known to have a sweet tooth and loves the frozen treat.

Tyler loves ice cream so much that he's previously partnered with the fancy Los Angeles grocery store Erewhon to create two soft serve flavors, "Sweet Emotion" and "Dream On," named after his hits, with part of the profits going to his philanthropic initiative, Janie's Fund.
