ALBANY, N.Y. — Gov. Kathy Hochul announced the members of FutureWorks, a new commission tasked with developing recommendations on how New York can protect workers and help them benefit from artificial intelligence.
The 20-member commission includes experts in technology, workforce development, education and the economy. It will be chaired by former U.S. Secretary Tom Perez, Thasunda Brown Duckett of TIAA and Molly Kinder of the Brookings Institution.
FutureWorks was announced this past March during Hochul’s speech at the Association for a Better New York.
“Preparing our economy to contend with AI may turn out to be the defining challenge of our time,” said Hochul in a press release.
The group is expected to deliver recommendations by the end of the year.
