The “Rhythm Nation” singer shared a sweet Instagram video on Sunday, May 17, documenting her celebrations, featuring friends and family, including her older sister La Toya Jackson, throwing her an all-day party.
In the 10-minute video, Janet was seen arriving at a house filled with decorations celebrating her 60th as loved ones greeted her. The partygoers can be seen drinking and dancing, singing “Happy Birthday” and praising Janet in heartfelt speeches.

Paris described the film as “sugarcoated,” writing, “A big section of the film panders to a very specific section of my dad’s fandom that still lives in the fantasy, and they’re gonna be happy with it. … The narrative is being controlled and there’s a lot of inaccuracy and there’s a lot of just full-blown lies. At the end of the day, that doesn’t really fly with me. Go enjoy it. Do whatever. Leave me out of it.”
