Abdelatty said that Egypt is seeking to expand economic, trade, and investment cooperation with Greece and praised the support of Athens for Cairo within European Union institutions.
The call also tackled regional developments and efforts to reduce tensions through diplomatic solutions. Abdelatty reviewed Egypt’s contacts aimed at de-escalation and stressed the importance of supporting negotiations between the US and Iran.
The ministers also discussed developments related to the Palestinian issue, Libya, and Sudan.
Abdelatty stressed the importance of advancing the political process in Libya, holding presidential and parliamentary elections, and preserving the country’s unity and sovereignty.
Regarding Sudan, he stressed the need to preserve the country’s unity and national institutions while rejecting external interference.
The two ministers agreed to continue coordination and consultations to support regional stability and reduce tensions.
