ROCHESTER, N.Y. — An all-women Honor Flight returned to the Greater Rochester International Airport on Sunday morning.

The flight featured an all-female veterans crew and an all-female volunteer crew. A crowd of people cheered loudly as they arrived.
The women returning smiled, waved and shook hands with the people greeting them. Nancy Brayten said she had to hold back tears when talking about the Honor Flight.
“I was commissioned during 9/11. That was my driving force after our twin towers were attacked. And, I had a chance to see the Pentagon and the memorial site there. That’s still just gut-wrenching but beautiful. So, that was, the Pentagon was a big thing for me. And, just everybody and their support. It’s just amazing,” Brayten said.
Mission 95 was Honor Flight Rochester’s first all-female mission. The mission included a total of 59 veterans from the Air Force, Army, Marines and Navy.
