Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs for International Cooperation, Samar al-Ahdal stressed the importance of enhancing development financing and supporting digital transformation and innovation in the countries of the Global South to confront growing economic and geopolitical challenges.
This came during Samar al-Ahdal’s participation, on behalf of Badr Abdelatty, Egypt’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation and Expatriates, in the 11th meeting of the Board of Governors of the New Development Bank, held in the Russian capital, Moscow.
The Deputy Foreign Minister noted that the world is undergoing profound transformations, including the restructuring of global supply chains and the escalating repercussions of climate change and geopolitical tensions, particularly in the Middle East.
She explained that these developments require developing countries to adopt modern technologies and innovative financing tools to strengthen economic resilience and achieve sustainable development.
