An investigation was underway after an unresponsive man was pulled from Lake Michigan at Oak Street Beach on Friday afternoon, police said.
The incident was reported at around 3:54 p.m. at the beach in the 1000 block of North DuSable Lake Shore Drive.
Authorities said an unresponsive male of an unknown age was removed from the water by the Chicago Police Department’s Marine Unit. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Area Three detectives were conducting a death investigation, an autopsy was expected to take place.
