Beloved musician Phil Collins was seen walking with crutches during a rare outing at Buckingham Palace earlier this week.
The 75-year-old artist posed alongside Rod Stewart and Penny Lancaster to celebrate the 50th anniversary of King Charles III's charity.
"Despite the downpours of torrential rain which did not seem to dampen the festivities @officialphilcollins and I were very proud and honored to be there and have a few private moments with King Charles who seemed genuinely pleased to see Phil who was the very first ambassador 40 years ago and a trustee even before that!" Jill Collins captioned the sweet photo.
Earlier this year, the Grammy winning musician gave an update on his health, explaining that he's had a "difficult, frustrating last few years."
"I can walk, albeit with assistance, you know, crutches or whatever," the "You'll Be In My Heart" artist said during a January appearance on the "BBC Eras" podcast.
He continued, "I enjoyed coming off tour. Coming off the road … I thought, right, I’m gonna do all those things that I couldn’t do. I guess I had too much of it. I was never drunk, although I fell over a couple of times. But it is just one of those things that happened, and it all caught up with me, and I spent months in hospital."
Prior to being dependent on crutches, Collins had used a walker for assistance for nearly a decade.
He has largely retired from music after stepping away from performing in 2022.
"I keep thinking I should go downstairs to the studio and see what happens. But I’m not hungry for it anymore," he told Mojo Magazine last year.
