A new Georgia Bulldogs defensive back is making headlines for the wrong reason.
As first reported by WGIG 98.7 FM, Ja’Marley Randle is facing felony drug charges as well as a speeding charge following his arrest last Friday. The Kingsland, Georgia native is a transfer from ECU.
Per the police report obtained by WGIG, Riddle was first observed at mile marker 44 on I-95 traveling at a high rate of speed, around 95 miles per hour. He was pulled over at mile marker 36.

The police report indicates that Riddle was “extremely nervous and shaking” when stopped, leading to a request that he step outside the vehicle. Officers also noted marijuana odors emerging from the vehicle.
When asked, Riddle said he did not have marijuana inside the vehicle. He consented to a search.
While I was re-searching the front driver’s side, Officer R. Dinkins pulled a large heat-sealed bag from one of the backpacks in the back seat. Inside the backpack was a large amount of multicolored packaging, some with a leafy substance stating marijuana, and some containing vapes stating THC.
Riddle was charged with purchase, possession, manufacture, distribution, or sale of marijuana as well as sale of a Schedule I or II controlled substance. Speeding was the third charge on Riddle’s arrest. The marijuana charges are both felonies.
