Michael Thompson, 27, pleaded guilty on Friday to two charges of endangering the welfare of a child. Police say between last November and December, Thompson sent inappropriate photos through Snapchat to two students who were minors.

In a statement sent out by the district in December, it said Thompson “worked a limited number of days between the middle school and the Academy,” during the 2024-25 school year, and served as a volunteer coach during the winter indoor track season and the spring modified boys’ lacrosse season.

The district also said he worked as a substitute for two days during the 2025-26 school year.

Thompson is set to reappear in court in June, and be placed on Interim Probation supervision for a term of one year.
