Venezuelan group Rawayana breaks new ground, securing its first No. 1 on a Billboard chart with the hit single “Inglés en Miami,” the group’s maiden collab with Manuel Turizo. After spending 10 weeks in the top 10, the track rises 3-1 on the Latin Rhythm Airplay chart dated May 16.
“Having our first No. 1 on a Billboard chart means a lot to us,” Alberto “Beto” Montenegro, Rawayana’s lead vocalist tells Billboard. “We’ve spent years building our sound from Venezuela to the world, always trusting our instincts and our culture. To reach this moment with a song like ‘Inglés en Miami’ feels really special because it represents connection — different worlds, accents and energies coming together naturally.”
“Inglés en Miami” takes the lead on Latin Rhythm Airplay after a 27% gain in audience impressions across Latin rhythm radio stations in the United States, to 6.2 million, earned during the May 1-7 tracking week, according to Luminate.
The achievement marks a career milestone for Rawayana, who previously reached a No. 8 high on Latin Pop Airplay and Tropical Airplay through “La Culpa,” with Kany García, in February 2025. On Latin Rhythm Airplay, prior to “Inglés,” The group achieved a No. 20 high with “Boom Boom,” with Justin Quiles, in 2024.
