As per Cricbuzz, KKR assistant coach Shane Watson informed on the eve of the game againt RCB that while Chakravarthy has been sore in the last two games, and that he was in a lot of pain in the previous game as well, the team hopes that he will be available for selection for the game against RCB on Wednesday. However, the KKR coach dropped a subtle hint on the probability of the mystery spinner being excluded tomorrow, because of his injury. As per the report, Varun was present during practice but did not bowl in full tilt. He was seen doing some stretches and chatting with his teammates, but there was no positive sign of him being a part of KKR’s playing XI in the game against RCB on Thursday.
“Obviously he’s been sore the second last game and the last game he was in a lot of pain, even though he’s still bowling incredibly well… We’ve got our fingers crossed that he’ll be available for tomorrow, but we’re just not exactly sure,” Shane Watson said at the pre-match press conference.

Just after that game, the spinner revealed that he has been bowling despite having recovered from two fractures in his left hand.
