“I was cramping a lot. It started from my calf, went to my glutes, went to my back, everywhere. I was cramping. I mean, not often I bat that long, right? (smiles) So it was something new for me. But yeah, I'm pretty happy. At the end of the day, what matters are those two points,” Krunal said at the presentation ceremony.
“It's fine. Just a lot of cramps again, now onwards, I guess I'll take care of a lot of fluids and food, and hopefully it will be better in the next game,” he added.
RCB skipper calls Krunal the 'main man'
In the latter part of the presentation ceremony, RCB captain Rajat Patidar also praised Krunal’s outstanding effort. Patidar said that for him, Krunal was the main man for them in that match against the Mumbai Indians.
“I think it's normal now, but it was a very tight match, overall I think, great game, and especially KP (Krunal Pandya). I think he's the man who's done it for the team,” the RCB skipper mentioned.
Batting first, on the tricky pitch, the Mumbai Indians scored 166 runs in 20 overs. RCB lost their top batters quickly in the chase. Krunal Pandya’s solitary 73 off 46 took the team near the home. In the penultimate over, Bhuvneshwar Kumar smashed a six and took the momentum completely away from the Mumbai Indians.
