Musicians are being celebrated and are celebrating Mother's Day. Reba McEntire became a mother after giving birth to Shelby Steven McEntire Blackstock in 1990. She shared a throwback photo to remember the life change, and it's changing again.
Reba McEntire’s Son Is Expecting a Baby Boy
View this post on InstagramMcEntire, 71, posted a photo of herself holding her baby boy on Instagram on May 10. Her curly red hair was pinned to the side, and she wore blue hoop earrings. The Queen of Country was married to Narvel Blackstock, and they divorced in 2015.

"He made me a mother 36 years ago and he’s been backstage with me ever since! Happy Mother’s Day to all the moms out there," she captioned the post. The second slide is a more current photo of him in front of a sign reading, "The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon."
McEntire was also the stepmother to Blackstock's other children Chassidy, Shawna, and son Brandon Blackstock. Brandon died of cancer at 48 years old in 2025.
Shelby is a racecar driver and is about to become a parent himself. He posted Instagram pictures with his pregnant wife, Marissa Blackstock, at Disney World, announcing they are expecting a baby in April.
"Oh, BOY! We’re beyond excited to FINALLY announce our little man is coming in October. See ya real soon, pal! Mommy + Daddy love you!" they captioned the post.
They held up a baby onesie featuring a sleeping baby Mickey Mouse with "Blackstock October 2026" embroidered on it. They also had a Mickey Mouse hat with "Baby Blackstock" on it.
The "Fancy" singer continues to do what she does best as her family grows. She released the "One Night In Tulsa" music video days before Mother's Day.
