ROCHESTER, N.Y. — The Lilac Festival continued for the second day at Highland Park.

People enjoyed Art in the Park, where art, nature and the community came together. Several tents were lined up at the Small Business Circle and visitors shopped at each of the small businesses.
It was a lively day that came with live music people listened to during their stroll. One family made a last-second decision to come out to celebrate Mother’s Day.
“We’ve been going for years, but we haven’t been here it quite some time. But it was a beautiful day, and I really love the new layout. I love how there’s some local businesses up here, so we’ve been here, but really impressed today,” said Nicole Dalton, festival visitor.
Art in the Park and the Small Business Circle ended at 6 p.m., but both will return Sunday. They run from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
