A man was charged after allegedly exposing himself to children during recess at a northwest suburban elementary school, police said.
Jack Glauner, 69, of Crystal Lake, was arrested and charged with public indecency – lewd exposure – near school grounds, a Class 4 felony and disorderly conduct – breach of peace, a Class C misdemeanor. Authorities said officers responded on Thursday to Canterbury Elementary School for the report of a person who exposed himself to children and an adult who were outside at recess.
The suspect fled the scene before officers arrived. Officers later located a vehicle that matched a witness’ description and apprehended Glauner. According to police, he was taken into custody without incident and transported to the McHenry County Jail.
The incident remains under investigation by Crystal Lake police.
