HENRIETTA, N.Y. — Ollie’s Bargain Outlet in Henrietta has been closed by the Henrietta Fire Marshal.
According to Fire Marshal Richard-Timothy Magin, the building had various outstanding issues. The marshal said the following issues were found:
Magin says he first got a notice from the fire department in September. He says they met with the landlord and each tenant of each space to inspect the entire plaza.
After going through all the issues, Magin says Ollie’s Corporate Office was the only one who wouldn’t get on board, and the landlord gave documentation from the lease agreement that the tenant was responsible for its issues.
Magin says a few months went by and nothing was done.
“I couldn’t in good conscious let patrons and staff be in that space with so much compromised,” said Magin.
Henrietta Town Supervisor Stephen Schultz says he wasn’t aware of a potential closing, and found out from posts he saw online.
