Williams faced a much tighter game as he aimed to defend his title.

Yoas had the lead going into Final Jeopardy with $12,600, while Williams and Yan were tied at $9,200 each. Yan opted for a more conservative wager of $3,402, got it right, and landed second place with $12,602. As for Yoas, she wagered $5,861, answered incorrectly, and dropped to third place with $6,739.
