Former Florida quarterback Kyle Trask appears to be getting another shot to stick in the NFL.
The 28-year-old Trask, who played for the Gators from 2016-20 before being drafted by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 2021, is among the players who’ve been invited to the New Orleans Saints’ rookie minicamp this weekend. Nick Underhill, who covers the Saints for New Orleans.Football, reported on Wednesday afternoon that Trask and fellow veteran QB Easton Stick have been invited to the minicamp as they seek NFL employment in 2026 and as the Saints seek some depth at the position this season.
With Tyler Shough, Zach Wilson and former Oklahoma and South Carolina quarterback Spencer Rattler slated as the Saints’ top 3 signal-callers heading into organized team activities, Trask will have the opportunity to compete for the No. 4 QB spot on the New Orleans depth chart.

After being released by the Buccaneers last summer, Trask latched on with the Atlanta Falcons last fall. He signed with the Falcons in November, spending time on the team’s practice squad.
Trask was a second-team All-SEC selection at Florida during his final season in Gainesville in 2020, and now he’s reportedly getting another shot to extend his NFL career.
