TROY, N.Y. — Retiring broadcaster Don Stevens will be inducted into the New York State Hockey Hall of Fame as part of the class of 2026.

Stevens wrapped up an incredible 58-year broadcasting career, including 40 seasons calling Rochester Americans games. He became known as the “Dean of AHL Broadcasters.”
He called more than 3,300 games and was behind the mic for some of the franchise’s biggest moments. Induction ceremonies are set for July 12 in Troy.
Stevens said the honor is “mind-boggling.” He called it a dream come true after a lifetime in the game.
