An infant was airlifted to a local hospital after they were discovered unresponsive at a suburban daycare Tuesday morning.
According to the Woodstock Fire/Rescue District, paramedics were called to the House of Children, located in the 2500 block of Harding Lane, at approximately 10:45 a.m. Tuesday for reports of a medical emergency involving an infant.
When paramedics arrived, on-site staff were providing care to the baby, and crews were able to stabilize the patient before transporting the infant to a local hospital.
The child was then airlifted to another advanced facility, according to authorities.
The daycare released a statement praising first responders and offering prayers for the child.
“We would like to extend our gratitude to our community for the overwhelming support shown to the little one who experienced a medical emergency today,” a statement read. “We are extremely proud of our team for their prompt and professional response, and above all, we are wishing for a speedy and full recovery for this sweet baby!”
