Rajasthan Royals (RR) will celebrate Pink Promise Day on May 9, when they will face the Gujarat Titans (GT) at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur. Through the ongoing Indian Premier League, the franchise has taken a unique initiative to support women's. In this match, Rajasthan Royals will be on the field donning an all-pink jersey.
It is reported that, in the upcoming Rajasthan Royals vs Gujarat Titans match in Jaipur, every six hit in the match between GT vs RR will help light up six homes with Solar Energy as part of Women Led transformation in Rajasthan. RR will be looking to win this game and keep their top 4 position alive.
Back in the IPL 2024 season, when RR was up against the Royal Challengers Bengaluru, Sanju Samson and Co. featured in the specially designed jerseys, dedicated to the women supported by the Royal Rajasthan Foundation. “To ensure continuity of its impactful on-ground initiatives, the Royals will donate ₹100 for women-led rural transformation in Rajasthan on every RR vs RCB ticket purchased for this match. Apart from that, all proceeds from the sale of each all-pink Royals' jersey will go to its social equity arm - the Royal Rajasthan Foundation,” RR stated this through an official release on their official website.
“In addition, for every 6 hits in the match by both teams, Rajasthan Royals and the Royal Rajasthan Foundation are committed to lighting up 6 homes in the Sambhar region with solar power. A total of 13 sixes were hit in the match across both innings, meaning it contributed to 78 homes in Sambhar to be solar powered by the women engineers of the Foundation,” it added further.

The all-pink jersey of the team also depicts the initiative of the franchise. Through the prints on the jersey, RR has tried to highlight: a solar panel (to provide clean energy to rural women), Bandhani pattern (represents the popular and ancient art of tie-dying, also used in traditional Rajasthani women’s attire), and each name emblazoned on the jersey tells a story of women-led transformation in rural Rajasthan, supported by the Royal Rajasthan Foundation.
As of now, the Rajasthan Royals are at the fourth spot of the points table with 12 points from 10 games, while the Gujarat Titans are now positioned as the fifth team in the ten-team league with 12 points in 10 games. Because of a better net run rate, Rajasthan is currently ahead of Gujarat in the IPL 2026 points table.
