ROCHESTER, N.Y. – Light to moderate rain will continue through the morning before tapering off from west to east around midday. Not as wet Wednesday afternoon but still cloudy and cool with a few scattered showers and some drizzle at times. Light wind out of the north will keep temps in the 40s and low 50s. Threat Tracker remains Green with no widespread flood concerns and no thunder in the forecast.
Rainfall so far has averaged around an inch. A little less to the east of Rochester and a bit more to the west and south with some areas closer to an inch and half of rainfall since yesterday afternoon. Another tenth to quarter of an inch expected through midday.
Thursday and Friday will be drier overall with chilly mornings and mixed skies. A few clouds during the afternoon hours may bring a couple brief showers. High temps will be in the 50s to end the week. Looking ahead to the weekend and the start of the Lilac Festival and Mother’s Day some showers will be in the forecast and temps closer to 60 degrees.
