CANANDAIGUA, N.Y. — The man accused of causing the death of a missing man found in a motel room in Geneva has been indicted.

Julius Ware is charged with murder in the second degree and criminal possession of stolen property.
On April 18, Ontario County Sheriff’s deputies found 37-year-old Emmanuel Richelieu’s body with “multiple traumatic injuries” at America’s Best Value Inn on Route 5&20 in Geneva.
Prosecutors say Ware intentionally caused Richelieu’s death and had his stolen EBT card that was issued by Ontario County Department of Social Services.
Richelieu’s brother reported him missing on April 17 after not hearing from him for two days. Deputies were able to track Richelieu’s phone to the motel, but say he wasn’t with his phone, leading to a search of the motel
Eventually, a K9 alerted them to a room within the motel, and deputies went inside after no one answered the door.
