Fujairah authorities said that a fire broke out at the Fujairah Oil Industry Zone (FOIZ) on the afternoon of 4 May, following a drone attack originating from Iran.
The Fujairah Media Office also said that civil defence teams were deployed immediately to contain the blaze.
3-Indian nationals were said to have been injured in the attack. The Fujairah Media Office said the three men sustained moderate injuries and were transferred to a hospital for treatment. Updates would be provided as they become available, it said.
The UAE’s Ministry of Defence also announced on 4 May that its air defence systems engaged 12 ballistic missiles, 3 cruise missiles and 4 UAVs that were launched from Iran.
