What Pregnant Celebrities Are Attending the Met Gala?

The Met Gala is basically the Super Bowl of the fashion world. And while the slimmest of celebs are showing off their svelte figures in form-fitting designs, some of the attendees are bumping through the night!

That’s right, even though the artistry of couture is far from maternity-wear, some of the most famous faces have shown off their budding bellies at this annual event. This year's Met Gala theme is 'Costume Art,' with a dress code of 'Fashion Is Art.' So, which celebs are pregnant in 2026?

    Past Met Gala Pregnant Celebs

Kim Kardashianshocked fans with a recent Instagram post. Earlier in the week, she shared a pregnancy pic on Instagram, making some fans do a double-take. But of course, the image wasn’t recent. Instead, it was a stunning snapshot of the reality TV star/entrepreneur’s 2013 Met Gala dress. The famous mama wore a curve-hugging, floral high-neck Givenchy gown with a thigh-high slit just two weeks before giving birth to her first child, North West. But as it turns out, that wasn’t the only Met Gala Kardashiana attended while pregnant. In 2015, she tried to hide her two-months-pregnant growing belly in a sweeping, feathered Roberto Cavalli creation.

Kardashian isn’t exactly the only pregnant star to attend the event. Last year Rhianna debuted her bump in a custom pinstripe Marc Jacobs suit, confirming her third pregnancy. And the then-pregnant singer wore a Valentino covered in florals in 2023. Likewise, tennis phenom Serena Williams announced her pregnancy at the Gala in 2023, wearing a gorgeous Gucci design.

Model Karlie Kloss showed off her bump in 2025, decked out in a plunging take on the LBD. But wait, that wasn’t the only time she was pregnant at this event. Or, for that matter, wore a skin-tight black dress. Kloss shared the news that she and her husband, Joshua Kushner, were also expecting at the 2023 event.

And…the list keeps on going. Actress Sophie Turner wore an embellished Louis Vuiton gown while pregnant with her second child at the 2022 Met Gala, and Cardi B stole the spotlight in 2018, dazzling in a dramatic, low-cut gem-encrusted Moschino by Jeremy Scott design. Then there were Salma Hayek in 2007, Kate Hudson in 2011, Jessica Alba in 2011, Lake Bell in 2014, Olivia Wilde in 2016, Kerry Washington in 2016, Lea Michelle in 2024, and Adwoa Aboah in 2024.

While some years are packed with pregnant celebs, you won’t see as many bumps this year. Model, Adut Akech, is the most notable mommy-to-be at this year’s Gala. Akech’s impressively crafted Thom Browne look features over 1,000 handmade silk flowers and…well, wow. But wait, there’s more to the story. These aren't just random florals stitched to the model’s gown. The delicate blossoms are the birth flower for May (Lily of the Valley).

Browne recently shared with Vogue, “I wanted to create something that felt true to both myself and Adut, and worked for someone experiencing one of life’s great miracles.” Mission accomplished!
