ROCHESTER, N.Y. — The annual Kite Flight brought people together on the shores of Lake Ontario in Charlotte on Sunday afternoon.
Expert kite fliers from Rochester and the Great Lakes Kitefliers Society showed off their unique creations. Kids had a chance to take part in the fun too, running across the beach with their kites in the air.
“What’s really nice at the beach is, lot of the publicity brings a lot of people down. But also, many people come here that just, it’s the beach. So, they want to come here and go, ‘what’s going on,'” said Chuck Stechna, Ontario Beach Park Program Committee volunteer.
