Nancy Guthrie has been missing for 90 days and, according to NewsNation's Brian Entin, authorities don't have a suspect or any "solid leads" in the case. As the investigation continues, Parade spoke with Entin, who has been covering the case since the beginning.
In the interview, Entin and I discussed how Guthrie’s disappearance—and everything that’s followed—has felt like a movie.
"I still don't understand. How does an 84-year-old woman literally just vanish from her bed?" Entin says. "I think the mystery of it all, too, people are just sort of infatuated with."
One moment, however, stood out as especially chilling for Entin.
"When the pictures came out. When the FBI put out the pictures of the suspect in the mask, with the gloves on at the front door. That's what I said, too. This actually feels like a horror movie. This is worse than I even expected," Entin says.
After the photos were released—about two weeks after Guthrie's disappearance—authorities received thousands of tips. Unfortunately, none of those tips have led to an arrest. Anyone with information about the case is asked to call the FBI (1-800-CALL-FBI).
Although Entin is no longer staying in Arizona, he is still covering the Guthrie case. He will be hosting a new television special, NewsNation Presents: The Nancy Guthrie Mystery, that will air on the CW on Wednesday, May 6, at 9 p.m. Eastern.
