If you’re wondering how much longer you should wait to plant those more sensitive plants, the average final frost of the season south of the Thruway is around May 5. If you’re in the Finger Lakes region, the final frost is usually in mid to late May. For the Southern Tier, the final frost of the season has been in early June some years.
