Texas A&M has added three transfers for the fall with Carter Lancaster arriving from Cal, Mason Francis from Ohio State, and Alexander Tullberg Poulsen from the University of the Cumberlands.
Lancaster was the #7 ranked recruit at the time of his commitment for Cal in fall 2022 before arriving in fall 2024. He finished the last two seasons at Cal’s dual meet against Stanford. His season bests this year came at the Minnesota Invite as he swam a lifetime best 1:46.43 200 fly, season best 1:46.05 200 IM, and a 3:53.34 400 IM.
Lancaster has lifetime bests 1:45.01 200 IM and 3:46.65 400 IM. Logan Brown led the Aggies n the 200 IM with a 1:41.59 while Alejandro Michelena led the 200 fly with a 1:41.96.
Francis arrives after spending one season with Ohio State. He swam numerous lifetime bests at the 2026 Big Ten Championships where he was a member of Ohio State’s non-scoring roster. He swam a 52.28 100 breast and a 47.64 100 back. Logan Brown was also the top 100 breaststroker on the team with a 51.81 while John Simmons led with a 46.77 100 back.
Poulsen spent one season in the NAIA with the University of the Cumberlands. He had a strong showing at midseason with a 19.69 50 free, 43.57 100 free, and a 47.76 100 fly. At the 2026 NAIA Championships, he was 3rd in the 100 fly (47.52), 4th in the 100 free (43.81), and 5th in the 50 free (19.97).
The Texas A&M men finished 9th out of 11 teams at the 2026 SEC Championships and went on to finish 30th at the 2026 NCAA Championships. Logan Brown led the team on the swimming side with four points at NCAAs with a 1:51.88 200 breast for 13th. Diver Emelio Trevino won the NCAA title in the platform event, although head diving coach Jay Lerew has since retired.
