There was a lot going on in last week's episode of The Way Home, was there not, Ponderers? It was a lot to process and with each episode there's more to unpack, it seems! The family drama tells the story of three powerful women: Kat Landry (Chyler Leigh), Alice (Kat's teenage daughter) and Kat’s estranged mother Del (Andie MacDowell).More than 20 years prior, life-changing events created a chasm in their family that time has yet to repair. Kat and Del still aren’t on speaking terms. Alice has never met her grandmother and is unaware of the reasons for their fractured family. When these three generations come together under one roof for the first time in more than two decades, a surprising discovery sets the trio on a path toward healing and helps them find their way back to each other.

Jacob Landry (Spencer MacPherson) returned to the present after 25 years in the 1800s, leading the family to embrace the truth about the time-traveling pond. Del discovered Colton's (Jefferson Brown) demo tape, while Kat and Elliot reunited and worked through their past issues.
We also learned that Elliot was the baby in the basket, and Colton knew about the time travel and recognized Alice back in 1999. The season ended with a mysterious couple jumping into the pond in the 1970s, and Sam (Rob Stewart) mirroring Elliot's earlier role at the pond in the present.

What Happened in last week's episode of 'The Way Home'?

In "Blinded by the Light," Kat emerged from the pond in the summer of 1925, where she encounters a young and carefree Grandma Fern (Bianca Melchior) and becomes immersed in the Port Haven of the 1920s. Meanwhile, Alice returns to the 1970s and is reunited with Young Colton (Jordan Doww) and Young Evelyn (Devin Cecchetto), but she soon discovers that both have experienced big changes in their lives. Back in the present, Del reaches out to Elliot, hoping to fill the void left by his mother's disappearance.
What Will Happen in Episode 3 of 'The Way Home'?
In "Dust in the Wind," this week's brand new episode of The Way Home, when Elliot notices that Kat’s search for answers is causing her stress, he proposes a romantic getaway, but their plans are put on hold by the return of Elliot’s father, Vic (James Gallenders). Spurred on by Elliot's questions about his mother, Vic expresses his displeasure with Del. Meanwhile, Alice visits Young Evelyn (Devin Cecchetto) and meets someone in the 1970s who might just change the course of her search through time.
Fun Fact: Dale Whibley (Max Goodwin) and Alexander Eling (Noah LeBlanc) have starred together as classmates on Star Trek: Starfleet Academy.
