ROCHESTER, N.Y. — Local hospitals are getting state funding to expand and improve their inpatient psychiatric units.
University of Rochester Medical Center is getting more than $2 million, partly to increase capacity from 87 beds to 93. Rochester General Hospital is getting more than $540,000 to create an outdoor therapeutic space for patients.
Clifton Springs Hospital is getting more than $616,000 to update and improve its facilities.
In total, New York will be getting $13.7 million in capital funding. Three hospitals in the Long Island region, five in New York City, and Erie County Medical Center in Western New York are also getting some of the funding.
