However, Bruins center Elias Lindholm tied the game in the second period. The game ended in regulation tied 1-1, and Bruins right winger David Pastrnak scored the winning goal in overtime.

This is the Sabres’ first playoff appearance in 15 years. Sabres Head Coach Lindy Ruff shared his reaction after the loss.
“That’s the same type of stuff that happens in the second period, where you catch a team, you’ve got a great opportunity. We’re gonna have a great opportunity if we execute. We just didn’t,” Ruff said.
