Shake Shack's Smoky BBQ menu is making a big comeback and this year, the seasonal offer is coming with a few new, even more comforting, soon-to-be favorites.
The cult-favorite burger joint isn't reinventing the wheel this summer, but it is giving classic, cookout-style meals and summery sweets the Shake Shack treatment—one of which marks the first-of-its-kind-menu item for the chain (and heightens the ever-intensifying competition).
Shake Shack announced on Tuesday that it's bringing back its Smoky BBQ menu with its first-ever BBQ Boneless Baby Back Rib Sandwich—made with real baby back pork ribs that the company said it deboned by hand, slow-cooked for nine hours, and marinated in a proprietary BBQ spice blend with apple cider vinegar to deliver "flavor in every bite" (and probably make fans say, "McRib, who?").
The announcement also revealed it has plans to shake up more than its entrées, introducing a new side, dessert-inspired shakes and global beverages to its U.S. menus this season.

Returning for the third year in a row as part of the summer-exclusive menu are Shake Shack's Smoky Classic BBQ Burger and BBQ Chicken Sandwich, as well as its Spicy Fries (which can be ordered with or without cheese).

And because no meal is complete without an ice-cold beverage (or something sweet to sip on after), Shake Shack is expanding the list of seasonal drinks with flavors of key lime, s'mores and basil.
Some of the drinks may sound familiar and that's because they were previously made available at interantional Shake Shack locations, but they're completely new to the U.S. (aside from the Strawberry Lemonade—which has come and gone from menus before).
Strawberry Lemonade ($4.49): Strawberry puree mixed with our Shack-made lemonade.
