There's no doubt about it, Anne Hathaway is having a very big year. Her film Mother Mary is currently in cinemas, while long-awaited sequel The Devil Wears Prada 2 will be released this week.
Later this year, she will also be seen in mysterious sci-fi film The End of Oak Street and Christopher Nolan's epic adaptation of The Odyssey. However, that's not all.
Hathaway will also be starring in Verity, a psychological thriller adapted from Colleen Hoover's 2018 novel of the same name. Now, a first-look trailer for that film has been unveiled.
The trailer introduces us to Dakota Johnson's Lowen Ashleigh, a writer who is seen kissing and embracing a man named Jeremy Crawford (played by Josh Hartnett). As she pulls away from his face, she sees it has turned into that of his wife Verity, played by Hathaway. She tried to pull away, but Verity kisses her once more and bites her lip, making her bleed. Lowen then lets out a scream in terror.
What then follows is a host of moody shots and sequences throughout the film, while Verity says: "Even with my generous warning, you are going to continue to ingest my words. But know one thing - there is no light where we're going."

She is hired by Jeremy Crawford, husband of bestselling thriller author Verity, to complete the remaining books in a successful series that she is unable to finish after a mysterious accident.
When she arrives at their estate, Lowen learns that things are not exactly as they seem, with the discovery of a secret, unfinished manuscript that may reveal chilling admissions about the family’s past. Now, she must discern whether Verity’s writings are works of fiction, or an ominous warning by a deranged psychopath.
Alongside, Johnson, Hathaway and Hartnett, the film also stars Ismael Cruz Córdova, Brady Wagner, Irina Dvorovenko, KK Moggie, Michael Abbott Jr and Alex Cooper.
This is the fourth film adaptation of one of Hoover's works in recent years, following on from It Ends with Us, Regretting You and Reminders of Him.
Verity is released in UK cinemas on Friday 2 October.
