Like any spy thriller worth its salt, ITV's new series Secret Service, which comes from newsreader and novelist Tom Bradby, doesn't just stick to one location.
No, while it does feature plenty of the halls and corridors you might expect from spycraft in a domestic setting, it also features some globe-trotting escapades, with the run of five episodes kicking off as Gemma Arterton's Kate goes on a foreign mission.

Where was Secret Service filmed?
Secret Service was predominantly filmed in London, but there was also filming down out in Malta for the scenes set on the island.
Locations used around Malta included Valletta, Birgu, Isla and Dingli.
The series was filmed in spring 2025.
What have the team behind Secret Service said about filming in Malta?
Speaking at a Q&A for the series, director James Marsh opened up about the issues which faced the team while filming in Malta.
He said: "The schedule, as always on a budget, you're fighting time, fighting the light, every day. It wasn't too painful. I think it was well produced, it was well organised, and I don't think we ever got too restricted in terms of scooting through things too quickly."
Meanwhile, Gemma Arterton admitted: "I like working that way. I shouldn't say it, but I like a bit of pressure. You [Marsh] would always say 'That went surprisingly well', because you weren't expecting it."
"My expectation was quite low," Marsh said. "So, yeah, it wasn't a huge issue, I think, in terms of what you see on screen. It was a difficult for us sometimes, but it wasn't too bad."
Additionally, executive producer Gail Egan said, "We had a very, very able crew, as well as a fantastic cast, and they moved at speed," before Marsh added: "That's what makes it work, is a very organised crew."
Secret Service starts Monday 27 April at 9pm on ITV1 and ITVX.
