2026 LITHUANIAN CHAMPIONSHIPS
Thursday, April 23rd – Sunday, April 26th Vilnius, Lithuania LCM (50m) Recap #1/Recap #2 Live ResultsThe 2026 Lithuanian Championships wrapped up today in Vilnius, but not before yet another national record was set to conclude the four-day competition.
Racing in the final of the men’s 50m breaststroke, 29-year-old Olympian Andrius Sidlauskas fired off a new lifetime best of 27.15 to reap the gold.
Sidlauskas beat the field by nearly a second, with the next-closest competitor represented by Maksym Ovchinnikov of Ukraine, who touched the wall in 28.05. Kristaps Cilipans rounded out the podium in 28.07.
As for Sidlauskas, his previous career-swiftest performance entering this competition rested at the 27.38 he logged at the Baltic State Championshps just last month.
Additionally, his outing this evening overtook the former national record of 27.20 Giedrius Titenis put on the books over a decade ago. Sidlauskas now ranks just outside the list of top 25 performers in the world this season.
17-year-old Tajus Juska wrangled up the victory in the men’s 100m freestyle, hitting a mark of 49.44 as one of two sub-50-second performers.
The teen narrowly defeated Kristupas Trepocka, who touched a fingernail later in 49.47, followed by Martynas Bernotas‘ effort of 50.89.
Juska owns a lifetime best of 48.57 in this event, a time he established en route to earning silver at the 2025 European Junior Championships.
Juska also dove in for the men’s 100m butterfly, where we settled for silver in a time of 53.59.
Getting the victory was Ukraine’s Denys Kesil who logged 53.48 after taking the 200m fly in 1:57.79 on the previous day.
Bernotas earned another bronze, taking 3rd place in the 1fly in a result of 55.01.
On the women’s side, Barbora Mileisyte was too quick to catch in the 50m free, posting a winning effort of 25.47.
That held off 16-year-old Ieva Jurkunaite, who touched in 25.87 to display impressive range after already nailing a new Lithuanian national record in the 400m free the day before.
Ieva Nainyte also landed on the 50m free podium in 26.33, good enough for bronze.
Jurkunaite upgraded to gold on the final day in the 100m free, producing a result of 55.18 to take the event by well over a second.
Mileisyte settled for silver in 56.63 and Ieva Visockaite turned in a time of 56.68 for the bronze.
Finally, Kotryna Teterevkova doubled up with the 200m breast and 100m breast wins to conclude her campaign.
The 24-year-old national record holder delivered respective times of 2:23.92 and 1:06.54 to claim the victories in decisive fashion.
Her PBs remain at 2:22.86 and 1:06.02, so she was within range with her performances at this competition.
