Johnson was the third Wildcat to be selected in the draft after defensive back Treydan Stukes also went to the Raiders in the second round and defensive back Genesis Smith went to the Los Angeles Chargers in the fourth round.

Johnson’s pre-draft process included a 4.41-second 40-yard dash and 36-inch vertical jump at the NFL Combine. ESPN’s Mel Kiper Jr. listed him as the No. 20 safety prospect on his final draft big board.
The 5-foot-10, 192-pound safety led Arizona in tackles during his final two seasons with 191 combined. After being named an All-Big 12 honorable mention in 2024, Johnson recorded 97 tackles, seven pass breakups and four interceptions to earn a First-Team nod this past season.
As a three-star recruit out of Katy High School in Katy, Texas, Johnson spent all five seasons of his collegiate career in Tucson.
