ROCHESTER, N.Y. — A new Bills bar just opened in Rochester and held its grand opening Friday night.
News10NBC went to “The Mafia Hub” on St. Paul Street. Inside, fans eagerly awaited to see what the Bills would do with the 2026 NFL draft.
“Someone who’s going to be part of the foundation to kind of help us have that continued success we’ve had the last few years,” said Cody Sarkis, who works across the steet.
The bar is owned by Khyber Amail and Joe Dasilvia, two immigrants who first began planning the bar eight months ago.
“When I first arrived in the U.S, about a year in, I was given clothes back then. We were very poor. One of the big items that I received was a leather Bills coat,” Dasilvia said.
Dasilvia is from Brazil. Amail is from Afghanistan and came to the United States in 2009. He first remembers becoming a fan when watching a game with his cousins.
“We’re watching a game and the Bills were playing versus the Redskins at the time. And I pick where I’m from, I’m from Rochester. And that’s how it grew on me. And I’m a diehard Bills fan,” Amail said.
The co-owners are trying to attract diehard Bills fans, like Amail. That includes people like Leandro Dasilvia, Joe’s brother and a massive Bills fan. He’s excited about the Bills’ draft picks like offensive linebacker TJ Parker.
“I really liked it. Because, you know, we need more ways going on defense. He’s kinda like a hybrid player. So I think with Epenesa and Bosa gone, I think he’s filling the spot. Match up well with Greg Rousseau. So I think it’ll be good,” Leandro Dasilvia said.
The owners say they want The Mafia Hub to be more than just a Bills bar. They plan to play Red Wings and Amerks games, plus local high school sports.
