ROCHESTER, N.Y. — The Monroe County Sheriff’s Office celebrated its future jail deputies at the Strong National Museum of Play on Thursday.
Around a dozen graduates of the Jail Bureau Recruit Class #58 were honored during the ceremony at Paycheck Theater within the museum. Their class motto is “fear none, protect all.”
As News10NBC has covered, Monroe County has worked to recruit jail deputies amid staffing shortages. Last year, County Undersheriff Korey Brown said he was optimistic about recruiting efforts.
