The top diplomat gave the remarks during a meeting with Takeshi Okubo, the Japanese ambassador in charge of assisting the reconstruction of the Palestinian territory.
During the talks, the two diplomats discussed the latest developments in Gaza and efforts related to early recovery and reconstruction.
Abdelatty called for continued international involvement in humanitarian and recovery efforts, stressing the need to closely follow conditions on the ground.
He outlined Egypt’s approach to accelerating recovery through practical steps such as providing medical supplies, construction materials, water desalination units, mobile power stations, and temporary housing.
The minister also stressed the need for coordination among donors and clearer international positions to support projects that improve living conditions for Palestinians.
Abdelatty expressed readiness to work with Japan to support civil society and humanitarian organizations involved in relief and recovery efforts.
The meeting also addressed efforts to enable a national committee to assume responsibilities in Gaza and arrangements related to a proposed international stabilization force to support recovery and reconstruction.
