BATAVIA, N.Y. — Notre Dame High School’s athletic director is facing charges after being accused of touching someone inappropriately.
Michael Rapone is charged with forcible touching and harassment. Genesee County Sheriff’s deputies say Rapone touched someone’s private parts on March 2 at Batavia Downs.
On March 19, the district released a statement that said Rapone had been placed on administrative leave. In the statement, the district said “The matter in question does not center around Notre Damestudents or the Notre Dame campus.”

An order of protection was issued for the victim, and Rapone was released on an appearance ticket. He’s due back in court on May 5.
