LSU baseball head coach Jay Johnson confirmed on Monday night that pitcher Cooper Moore will miss the remainder of the 2026 season with an arm injury.
LSU was at first hesitant to move forward with Moore’s injury citing an uncertain timetable, but officially decided to shut him down for the season and proceed with surgery. There is some good news, though. Moore will qualify for a medical redshirt and, according to Johnson, should be back next year to pitch for the Tigers and make a run at the 2027 MLB Draft.
