Charlie Cox has called on Robert Pattinson to play Gustave in the upcoming Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 film, but not exactly in the way you might be picturing it.
Expedition 33 has very much been the game of the year in all senses of the word, and the academy clearly agrees, with it scooping up Best Game at the 2026 BAFTA Games Awards.
So important was this event that Charlie Cox, the voice of Gustave, made a rare appearance on the red carpet before the event, where he told Radio Times Gaming about whether he would consider reprising the role in the movie adaptation.
"I heard that Glen Powell wants it," he joked, "I think the financiers might prefer Glen, I'm not sure. Maybe I could have a smaller role.
"What are the smaller roles? I don't know, I haven't finished the game yet, so I don't know. Maybe I could be one of the townsfolk waving him goodbye as he leaves."

"Here's what I think should happen. They should cast Robert Pattinson as Gustave because he looks like him. And then I should do the voice, and then we can recreate the exact Gustave from the game.
"I wonder how Rob would feel about me voicing him, but hey, we can cross that bridge when we get to it."
The Daredevil star was nominated for Performer in a Supporting Role for his performance as Gustave, although he ultimately lost out to Dispatch's Jeffrey Wright.
Regardless, it was a strong night for Cox and co, as Expedition 33 pick up two more awards for best debut game and performer in a leading role for Jennifer English's performance as Maelle to go with its best game gong.
Not too shabby for a game whose own developers weren't even sure that it would be a success.
