Chicago police are searching for a man who attempted to sexually assault a woman on a CTA Blue Line train in the Austin neighborhood Saturday.
According to authorities, the woman was riding a westbound Blue Line train between the Cicero and Austin stops on the Blue Line when she was approached by an unknown man.
The man is alleged to have been making sexual comments toward the woman and fondling himself, according to police. He then grabbed her and attempted to sexually assault her, authorities said.
The man exited at the Austin stop and fled the train in an unknown direction.
The suspect is described as a Black man between the ages of 40 and 49, standing 5-foot-6 inches tall with medium build. He had short black hair, a full beard and was wearing an unzipped black jacket, a plain white t-shirt, dark jeans and white gym shoes.
Residents are urged to call 312-746-8251 if they have information on the case.
